Part ? Time Manager on Duty - Evenings and WeekendsSUMMARY: Ackerman Sports & Fitness Center is seeking highly motivated individuals to provide exceptional customer service to the members of ASFC. Applicants must be at least 18 years of age. The Part ? Time Manager on Duty will be responsible for the management of the building operations of Ackerman Sports and Fitness Center, in the absence of the Assistant Facility Manager and Facility Manager.

SUPERVISION:
The Part ? Time Manager on Duty is under the direct supervision of the Assistant Facility Manager and Facility Manager.Must be available year round. This is NOT a seasonal position.

* Two years management experience required* Hours include evenings & WeekendsDUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Essential Functions:Operational Management* Review and coordinate building schedule and activities for Ackerman Sport and Fitness Center prior to the start of every shift.* Assist maintenance personnel and other staff in coordination of room set up for programs and rental requests.* Supervise and participate in building and equipment operation, and coordinate maintenance repair requests.* Responsible for overseeing departmental staff, including Front Desk, Fitness Center, Childcare and Rock Wall staff.* Responsible for maintaining the cleanliness of the building.* Maintain and oversee inventory of supplies and equipment.* Review and evaluate building operations daily.* Greet and collect payment for all parties and rental reservations.* Consistently monitors programs, activities, events and facilities to insure their operation in a safe equitable, professional, organized, comprehensive, fiscally responsible and personable manner.* Seek to establish cooperative working relationships with coworkers.* Motivate staff in order to improve work performance.* Be available for work during regular office hours, evenings, and weekends.* Participate in staff meetings and training sessions as required.* Must follow, administer and implement Glen Ellyn Park District policies and procedures.* Adheres to all Park District safety rules and procedures and directs subordinates to exercise safe work practices.Promptly reports to Facility Manager all accidents and injuries relating to employees, facility users and program participants.* Performs other duties as required to complete the job.

SAFETY RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Assist with emergency procedures and building evacuation.* Actively support the loss control program that will effectively control and reduce accidents.* Obey the practical safety rules, regulations and procedures established by the loss control program.* Promptly report to the Facility Manager all unsafe actions, practices, or conditions observed.* Cooperate and assist in the investigation of accidents to identify causes and corrective measures to prevent their recurrence.* Perform all job tasks within the rules and guidelines of the District's safety program.

PSYCHOLOGICAL CONSIDERATIONS:
* The Part ? Time Manager on Duty must resolve differences and problems that arise with patrons and co-workers.

COGNITIVE CONSIDERATIONS:
The Part ? Time Manager on Duty must have the ability to resolve differences fairly and with good judgment. Must be able to supervise others, have good safety awareness and exhibit good problem solving ability and judgment in keeping with the mission of the Park District.
